a less than perfect
sunset and by the way
who photographs
landscape any longer?

exerpet from the curatorial text by Matei Bejenaru

“What do we think and feel in front of images when the represented subject is not clearly defined and easy to identify? In the case of documentary photography, the answer is simple and direct. We learn information about something that exists some- where at a certain moment in time. If the subject is diluted in the flow of visual information, then, naturally, for the informed viewer, attention is directed to the process of understanding and interpreting the images, as well as the way the photograph is presented in an artistic con- text. The classic rectangular frame, the imaginary window to existing or plausible worlds, expands and becomes a "mirror"of the projection of our intimate way of relating to representations of the world.”
